I’m Home!

I’m home!  I’ve been exploring my new house for almost an hour now.  There is not corner on the first floor that I haven’t sniffed!  My new big sister Shawna keeps trying to eat my food…Mooch!  My new human sister was trying to give me treats I liked the Jerky treat but then she tried to give me some of these crunchy ones and that was it I was done with treats for today.  She says that they are “good” for me maybe we can try them another day when I’m not so wound up tight.  I’m gonna go rest for a little while now.  I’ll talk to you all later.  Laci

P.S. I just want to say Thank You to the Green County Humane Society for taking such good care of me while I was there!

My Big Sister Shawna

So I’m not even in the house yet (today is the big day!) and my new big sister Shawna is going a little bit bizerk.  I guess I can see where she’s coming from though.  She’s been the only permenant dog in the house since she was adopted from the shelter all those years ago. I’m hoping she’ll like me cause it seems that everybody else does.  She’s been sniffing around my new human sisters room checking out all my new stuff that they got for me.  My big sister is half Lab and half Cocker Spaniel (just like me), where I am a blondie Shawna has longer black fur.  Shawna will be 19 years old next month on the 12th.  Because she’s older our people have been adding Gluecosemine to her food to help with her arthritis, i’m hoping that once it kicks in she’ll play with me and chase me around the house and play all sorts of fun games with me.  I’m sure that our people will even post some pictures of both me and my big sister so you can see what we both look like.

Hello world!

Hi all!  I am Laci.  I am a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel who has had a rough go of it lately.  I was owned by a nice little “old” lady along with my two buddies, Sebastian and Dayze, who have already found their forever home together.  Well, our owner passed away and due to a disability her son was no longer able to care for us.  So he surrendered us to the Green County Humane Society, which is a very nice no-kill animal shelter.  We were treated very nicely there and we were there for only a week before our new families found us.  My new family “found” me on the news actually.  The Channel 15 news was doing a story about some dogs who are now a part of an animal cruelty case and were taken to the same shelter me and my buddies were at.  I was in the background and my new mom saw me and two days later, my new family came to meet me.  They even brought my new big “sister” Shawna, who is also a rescue dog from the Green County Humane Society.  I can hardly wait to actually go to my new home.  I hear they have  a bunch of toys and treats and I even have my own little bed to sleep on too!
